Easing Out Of Control sees DZ Deathrays push confidently into new territory while staying true to the raw intensity that’s defined their career. Originally conceived as two separate EPs, the project evolved organically into a sharp, dynamic full-length album that moves between reflection, reckoning and forward momentum.

Recorded across two sessions and completed in the band’s own home studios, the album balances the trio’s blistering rock foundations with more exploratory songwriting. There’s a sense of growth throughout — moments that romanticise the past, confront the present, and look ahead with a desire to leave something lasting behind. A guest appearance from Violent Soho’s Luke Henery on bass adds extra weight to an already muscular sound.

Following 2023’s R.I.F.F., Easing Out Of Control continues DZ Deathrays’ evolution as one of Australia’s most vital rock bands. From their breakout debut Bloodstreams to the ambitious Positive Rising releases, the band have consistently expanded their sound while maintaining the chaos and catharsis fans expect.
